Eligibility Criteria

Applicants for the Liverpool John Moores University Postgraduate scholarships need to meet these conditions:

❶ Not having already studied a postgraduate taught degree (unless applying for doctorate study funding)

❷ Having an offer of study and have firmly accepted their place before they are eligible to apply for scholarship funding

❸ Having the funds for covering the remaining living expenses, travel and any other fees associated with studying at the University

International Achievement Scholarship 

Ambitious students from countries worldwide are encouraged to study at Liverpool John Moores University. That is why Liverpool John Moores University awards to eligible candidates a £3,000 tuition fee reduction towards every year of their studies*. All achievement scholarships are offered automatically to all applicants who fit the essential criteria as mentioned below.

Successful candidates need to meet these conditions:

❶ Meeting the conditions indicated in their full-time, postgraduate taught course offer letter,

❷ Be studying full at LJMU.

❸ Being self-funded,

❹ Not also have funding from other external sources like government or employer sponsorships.

You do not need to apply for this award. If you meet the above conditions, the scholarship will automatically be applied and an update of your scholarship status will be sent in the unconditional offer letter for your course.

It is important to note that this award cannot be combined with any other Liverpool John Moores University scholarships or discounts. If you are eligible for 2 discounts o scholarships, the one of the highest value will automatically be awarded to you.

*Scholarships are offered in the 1styear of the program and not applied to placement years or any resits.

Regional Scholarships

Ambitious students from countries worldwide are encouraged to study at Liverpool John Moores University. It is in such context that eligible applicants from selected regions are offered such scholarships by the Liverpool John Moores University with a value of up to a £4,000 tuition fee reduction towards every year of their studies*. All country scholarships are offered automatically to all candidates who meet the essential conditions as outlined below.

▷For the Country Scholarship A: Awards eligible candidates who enroll in September 2022 or January 2023 a £3,500 tuition fee reduction.

▷For the Country Scholarship B: Awards eligible candidates who enroll in September 2022 or January 2023 a £4,000 tuition fee reduction.

Eligible candidates from all other foreign countries, who enroll in September 2022 or January 2023, will be offered the International Postgraduate Achievement Scholarship.

Regarding eligibility requirements,

▶For the Country Scholarship A: Candidates must be an International Fee Payer and a national of countries including Bahrain, Canada, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Nigeria, Oman, Portugal, Spain, Thailand.

▶For the Country Scholarship B: Candidates must be an International Fee Payer and a national of countries including Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Panama, Peru, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, Uruguay, Vietnam.

Additionally, successful candidates need to meet these conditions:

▶ not also have funding from other external sources such as government or employer sponsorships

▶ meeting the conditions stated in their full-time, postgraduate taught course offer letter

▶ be studying full at Liverpool John Moores University.

▶ Being self-funded

Candidates do not need to apply for this award. If you meet the above eligibility requirements, the scholarship will automatically be applied, and an update of your scholarship status will be sent to you in your Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).

It is important to note that this award cannot be combined with any other Liverpool John Moores University discounts or scholarships. If you are eligible for 2 discounts or scholarships, the one of the highest value will automatically be offered to you.
