Benefits

The scholarship benefits include:

❶The full tuition fee equal to $10,000/year for a period of up to four years (by KDU Global).

❷Return flight ticket at the commencement and the completion of every 2 years (by IUCEA)

❸Accommodation (on-campus) fee equal to $1,600/year for a period of up to four years (by KDU Global)

❹Support for health insurance for each month for a period of four years (by IUCEA)

❺Fee for application processing and handling equal to $200 after getting selected (by IUCEA)

Please note that students and their sponsors/guardians are liable for subsistence costs of about $250/month (estimation based on average expenses for students living in South Korea).

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for the KDU Global – IUCEA Scholarships must meet general eligibility requirements including:

❶Being a citizen and resident of East African Community Partner States (Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan.).

❷Having excellent academic performance records (minimum of ‘B’ grade in all mathematics and English modules).

❸Completing the pre-university level of education in your home country in 2020 or 2021.

❹Age: not older than 22 years

❺Selected candidates have to present a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or IBT 71 of English proficiency before their final admission to KDU Global. Candidates whose first language is English might be exempted from this condition.

Important Dates

All required documents have to be combined into one PDF file and submitted to IUCEA by April 15, 2022. Only the successful candidates will get the final selection notices by May 23, 2022.
